We are a Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadowcast, entertaining the eastern region of Pennsylvania!
What is the Rocky Horror Picture Show?
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a horror/musical/comedy movie, originally released in 1975 by 20th Century FOX. The movie, although with what is now considered an all-star cast (Tim Curry [Clue, Stephen King's It, Legend], Susan Sarandon [Thelma & Louise, Dead Man Walking], Barry Bostwick [Spin City, What I Like About You], was initially a flop. It was only through the participation of dedicated audiences that the movie (Rocky, to its fans) has become a midnight movie cult classic!
What is a shadowcast?
A tradition that has come into being within Rocky is that a group of fans will take on the roles of the characters in the film-- the film will play on the movie screen, and the "cast" will "shadow" the movie, in front. A shadowcast adds a unique experience to the movie itself, lending their own personal touches to the scene, and quite a lot of dedication to make the moviegoers enjoy the show even more than if they were just watching the film!
How do I participate?
Come to one of our shows! Your first step should always be to come see a show in person-- watching at home doesn't count! We will have prop bags for sale if you care to get in on the audience participation. Every theater's rules are different, so please be cautious with things like squirt guns, food items, and especially open flames. If you don't know why we say that... come check us out, it'll all make sense. And once you've gotten the swing of it, if you think you might be interested in joining the cast, please speak with one of us, and we can help answer any questions you might have!
